Well, it was a valliant effort anyway. After MONTHS of trying to get the whole group together to play a session, or even sit a couple of the individual players down to finish the 1 on 1's and complete the "Introducing the Characters" series it fell through completely and utterly. I'll admit I'm a tad disappointed, but, since nobody wanders over to my page, I'm over it X-D Moving right along, I've been dealing with a miriad of emotions as of late, though fo once poetry doesn't seem to be helping me out. Nevertheless, my muse is sitting on my shoulder and has me convinced that while I am quite terrible at writing stories and such, I should give it a go. Plus, it beats writing a thesis concerning a theory I came up with recently. Truthfully, I'm being told that it's not an original idea, but I'd never heard of it and, from what little I know about the original idea, mine varries somewhat, so I'm content enough to claim it as my own. The story I'm working on is going to be handled in chapters, I think, as it looks to be quite long. I've called in some favors and will have, hopefully, four people helping me proof it before I post (the numerous grammatical errors and spelling problems from this entry alone should be evidence enough as to why I asked for assistance.) The story serves kind of like a journal, though will only be loosely based on actual events. Names have been changed to preserve the diginity of anyone who knows me. With any luck (and motivation) the first chapter will be off to the proofers early next week and back to me so it can be posted in early June (though I've plans to attend A-Kon in Dallas this year and have tons of work to do on my costume. I'm going to try to pull off the Proxy of Death from Ergo Proxy, but with only a couple weeks to throw it together, I'm not sure I'll make it and have time to write much.) Not to mention I've reopened work on a composition I started sometime back in highschool as per a request from a friend at work (I played the first movement of it on solo marimba over a year ago, but they apparently really liked it, remembered it, and wanted to hear the rest of it.) Who knows, maybe I'll be able to call in a favor and get my dad or someone more knowledgeable than me to arrange it for band so my band can perform it next year. Lots of creative juices flowing as of late, not so sure why my muse returned so violently these last six months or so after it's prolonged absense. If only my self-expression was more focused I might get something done. I'll post pics of the Proxy costume also (if I can get it done) sometime after the convention. That's all from OK, I hate this state so much.
